Dr. Jayde Wiedemann

General Dentist

I grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta. At the time it was a city of 55,000 but felt very much like a small town. After two years of study at Medicine Hat College, I moved to Edmonton to begin my dental education at the University of Alberta. Upon graduation in 2011, I decided to further my dental training by entering a general practice residency offered by the University of British Columbia. This program, based in Vancouver General Hospital, provided me with the opportunity to further my dental skills, knowledge and gain valuable insight in ways medicine and dentistry work together.

What initially attracted me to dentistry was a love of science combined with a significantly challenging technical component to dentistry. What I did not expect from a dental career was how much social interaction it would involve. This has become my favourite part of my job. I love chatting with and getting to know new people every day.

When I am not working, it is a safe bet I will be spending time with my wife and our two young children.
